ADDITION TO BETA CABLE OPERATOR EVALUATION STUDY – STUDY AMONG LOCAL AD SALES MANAGERS
Telephone interviews are conducted October/November for the Beta Research Cable Operator Study – Evaluation of Basic Cable Networks. At the same time, 100 interviews will be completed with a national sample of local cable system ad sales managers.
Respondents will rate network program organizations on a 5-point scale where “5” means “Excellent” and “1” means “Poor” on the following:
– Network Affiliate Local Ad Sales Reps (LAS)
– Appeal of demographics
– Providing incremental revenues
– Provided programming information
– Promotions
– Provided research
– Packaging with other networks
Respondents will also rate the organization on having programming that generates local ad sales revenue on the scale = very valuable, fairly valuable or not valuable. Results will be compared to those of General Manager/Marketing Directors from the Beta Cable Operator Evaluation Study.
Network organizations to be measured include:
A&E Networks, ABC Cable Networks, AMC Networks, ABC Cable Networks, AMC Networks, CNN Networks, Court TV, Discovery Networks, E! Entertainment Networks, ESPN Networks, Fox Cable Networks, Fox News Channel, Fox Sports Net, GSN, Network for Games, Hallmark Channel, Lifetime Networks, MTV Networks, Nickelodeon Networks, NBC Cable, Outdoor Life Network, Oxygen, Scripps Networks, G4, The Weather Channel, Turner Entertainment Networks, TV Guide Networks, USA Networks.
Results of the Beta Local Ad Sales Manager Survey would be released to clients in January, the same time as the Beta Cable Operator Evaluation Study. |
